No I have a 12 year old and a 19 year old.. not out of the den.. The ability to discern 'shit happens' from .. 'Geez if I had only have known' is nice.. I do day trades.. spend lots of time traveling for ski racing and hockey.. it works for me.. I get that it does not work for those who need not be connected cannot differentiate between important and can easily wait.. Works great for me ... all I can say.. I used to be THAT guy that dreaded the phone (had a car phone in 90') and work almost cost me my marriage.. great woman. I changed.. it's not the technology.. if you saw my posts on the Booms Bust with Mq you would have a better appreciation.. A smart phone enables me when out in the boonies to find another 'spot' of interest that I might otherwise miss.. for example.. Just need to know who is the master.. I know that is tough for some folks.. but phone or no phone that personality defect remains.. I know.. I used to own it :O) Geez.. I am out in the boonie.. what is this magnificent plant ..take pic.. and google.. GOT it.. :O) I could go on and on but it works for me and we are all (my family) more free and secure to boot... all in how you use it...

Cell phones do not work in remote areas . There was a time when I could be on the top of Phantom mountain and get a call out to my wife , since stuff went digital that is no longer possible . There are a lot of places that cell phones used to work and they no longer do . Had a mess of areas in remote locations marked on maps that a call could be made from . You can not get a call out from the same locations today . In some places you can see the tower but you do not get a signal . Mcnab lions are a good example ....
