You will never meet anyone who had a bad motorcycle accident without a helmet and is still arguing against mandatory helmet laws.
Or bicycle riders. My wife fell off a bike when we were just riding around town. No helmet. A very serious concussion. So we're believers in helmets.

I used to just post a picture to people who argued against wearing a helmet on a motorcycle. It was a picture of a guy who'd had an accident on a motor scooter and ended up head first on the pavement with no helmet. It wasn't even a high speed accident. His head had cracked open, just like an egg, and his brains had slid out onto the pavement. You could see his white skull thickness around the hole in his skull, maybe 1/8 of an inch, at most.
