II agree that we are on the same side on almost all of the points raised in this exchange. But there is one area we disagree on which prompted me to barge in on the discussion between you and Ted and that is your fear that the stimulus is something we should not gop for since it will burden the next generation. Since we were poor, I am sure that my father had to loan money for my education. He had full faith and trust in the abilities of his kids which drove him to go and apply for and secure the loan. He knew fully well that after we finished our education we would get jobs and earn good money so that we could pay off the loans very quickly. If he did not seek those loans, we would be begging on the streets today. I am sure you can relate something similar to either your family or some relative's family. That is more akin to the stimulus than to a family's budget model where a loan is sought to go on a vacation. The stimulus is being used to invest in this nation's future and not is fighting wars in Afghanistan etc. Screw Iran. We don't need to borrow from our kid's future to serve the interests of Israel. Obama should be bold and stand up to the interests of the Jewish lobby. If we Americans are to shed the blood of our kids to fight Iran, then let those Jewish folks be taxed more to fund the war. What the Jewish folks did in Germany for which they were treated the way they were is what they have started to do in the US. I am not anti Semitic but a very strong pro American. As you can see that I am even against those US capitalists who are in India making profits with cheap labor at the cost of US society's welfare. It is time to be very pro American and cast aside all those nonsense such as political ideologies, doing everything to support a Jewish state, supporting American capitalists etc. etc while America burns.
