Arrests of undocumented immigrants have gone up under Obama. There is nothing conservative (however Republican) about a "muscular" approach to undocumented immigration enforcement; where it violates the rights of anyone who gets caught in the profiling "net." Even the conservative Catholic Church supports more compassionate solutions than what your ilk demands. Reagan extended amnesty. This is an open country and requires some courage to stand on the side of "rights" even if it means some guilty people are free. Fundamental values. <<wish Obama could make the same kinds of tough decisions when it comes to pressing charges against the Financial Crooks in the TBTF banks>> Fair criticism of an apparently slow-moving DOJ, but Obama gets credit for not allowing wolves like Hank Paulson and Harvey Pitt into the financial henhouse. Republicans and some Democrats too have handcuffed efforts to legislate regulation of banksters and new dangerous bubbles of wild leverage with out-of-control derivatives, built on the frauds and stolen wealth of mainstreet -- rather than create real, lasting economic value that make us a stronger healthier nation.
