Recommended your post because you admitted "I realized I must learn more about fraking and shale gas" its a pervasive problem not specific to you. Folks generally have been caught up in some momentum, and are only, fully prepared for the past. Advice too you, throw out everything and start over...oil and gas are by products of nucleation, the events are not chronicled in summaries of oil and gas at all, and yet events that had the power of billions of Hiroshimas, are left out of the discussion by geologists and petroleum engineers alike. Events powerful enough for nucleation to appear, change everything down to the elements. and Nothing survives in proximity to these events, as they scale, distance of local disturbances have wide spread distribution changes & the variable reformations which occur are different per event. oil was never a fossil fuel...the embarrassment of this fact is greater than the systems that run this game can allow...hence, all the events to dumb down the population, so that those in charge can appear smart...elite...opinion makers, based on sophistry. it's all nonsense and why its called the dumb and dumber matrix.... at the higher ground.
