Well, we'll just have to wait and see. If Ron Paul has no chance, then why is he even still able to hang around? Perhaps he actually does have a very good chance. The main reason he is said to not have a chance is because everyone says that while they like him and his ideas, they think other people don't. It's weird but everyone seems to have such demented thinking. Such is the strong need to be in group-think mode that people will deny their own thoughts in pursuit of some will o' the wisp they imagine others are thinking.

It's like everyone knows that the US$ is doomed and gold is the way to go, but they seem to have a strong "greater fool" component to their thinking. Meanwhile, we are nearing half way through the year and my gold price sooth line is right on track for 31 December 2012. Similarly, my 2008 prediction of the smoothed sun-spot peak is right on the money too, with the latest expert prediction sitting right on 60.

It would be like a breath of fresh air to have Ron Paul as president after decades of typical politicians having the job. I believe it is not past Americans to have some sense occasionally. As Winston Churchill said, after they have tried all the bad ideas, they finally do it right. Maybe now is the time.
