But they've got all that cocoa. I love cocoa. A roaring fire, a good book, and a cup of cocoa- is there anything better? But sure, I'd like Obama to win- but more for other people than for myself. My girls aren't likely to need abortions, or financial aid, and we're not likely to need any help from the government. Nor do I even care if I get handouts in my dotage. So in a way, it would be kind of fun to see the right wing nutbags get totally screwed by a Mitten presidency- as I feel sure the rich would benefit greatly, and the poor and middle class would be absolutely reamed. On the other hand, there are some lovely people on the democratic side who would be equally screwed, and they totally don't deserve it. But still...it would be nice if some people could get what they think they want, if only to realize how awful it is. Too bad there's no way to do that that just involves the awful people.

Some NC stats from the primary:

There are 6,296,759 registered voters in NC.
2,164,074 people VOTED or 34.37%
4,132,865 people DID NOT VOTE

There were 1,303,952 votes FOR the Amendment-61.05%
There were 831,788 votes AGAINST the Amendment-38.95%
We lost by a total of 472,164 VOTES

The only good thing to note is that that there was such a low turnout. The only hope for Obama in NC is to have a large increase in turnout in November. With the NC Democratic party having problems at the top, it is difficult to see that happening. It is possible, but it won't be easy.
