Those are the facts. You are now trying to rewrite history, but I'm not going to let you do that.

Speaking of which...

No, you are full of shit. ECRI very publicly said we were headed for a recession and told us the timeline. They said FIRST HALF OF 2012.

In May, 2011, he warned the members of Real Money that a recession was inevitable. He then went public in Sept of that year and said that the US economy was "tipping" into recession. Tipping into recession does not mean near the end of 2012 or even the first half of 2012. It means right then. Tipping is an active verb......not a passive one.

Even if we go into recession RIGHT NOW, NBER, which is the org that officially declares recessions, won't make the call until 6-9 months AFTER a recession has started. So we won't know whether ECRI correctly called a first half 2012 recession until early 2013.

We can't go into a recession now. By definition, we have to have two quarters of negative GDP growth for it to be called a recession. We have yet to have one negative quarter.

Those are the facts. You are now trying to rewrite history, but I'm not going to let you do that.

Like most Rs, I don't think you know what facts are.
