When politicians start putting their boots on necks, remember the old expression, "First Obama came for Tony Hayward and Big Oil, but those bastards deserved it. Then they came for ..."

Precisely. Everyone's rights need to be respected, or none are safe.

Can't claim any great expertise in the subject, but I do grasp things of biological nature, and I like the idea of using microorganisms to produce fuels. They have developed genetically mutilated e. coli which can consume just about any carbs, and produce bio diesel.

I read that somewhere in the Rockies they are trying to heat oil rock deep in the ground, hoping to harvest the oil, once it boils out of the rock. The heating process is expected to take many years.

I think it would make far more sense to use bacteria which could digest the oil right out of the rock, and excrete gas - which could be harvested. The same approach, once developed, would make sense with Canadian and other oil sands. Why dig them out and cook them if it may be possible to convert the trapped oil into gas in situ.

(btw, what is inductive cooking? -g)

Edit, never mind, I googled it and found out. It seems they call it induction. Is it any good?

You are a piece of work. You completely miss my point and then proceed to 'educate' me on the nuances of fuel production. I could give a shit about what oil is doing in the realm of fuel production. My point, since you still cannot grasp it, was that if more people knew they could get X mpg from a diesel vehicle, they would abandon the alternative fuel industry in America. Only problem is the solution still involves using oil and 'big oil' that every greenie hates. That's it. Simple.

You want to make it more complicated have at it but I have no desire to masturbate your ego. Just keep the insulting and self aggrandizing bullshit to a minimum.
