Its seem to me a program was needed to start balancing off the inequities that led to those riots. What was the percentage of deadbeat dads and single mothers on welfare in the black communities before Johnson's Great Society program versus recent times? For every dead beat dad, there was a dad with MS raising a Michelle Obama. Don't fall for the racism whites love to promulgate. Three hundred years of discrimination and racism would lead to considerable dysfunction in any community. Despite that.........including slavery........the black community has turned out some amazing people.
