I concede cultural and economic changes also contributed to this, but there's a lot of women "marrying" a welfare check (percentage wise) instead of a man. Seems that way to me to... It is inconceivable to me that so many liberals continue to make excuses for the bad choices made by blacks in the modern era. They are just as responsible as the huge white welfare class on the dole for their actions these days. One of the great things about Obama as president is young black kids in the hoods can see this very intelligent family man raised by a poor single mom as their president and realize there are many other paths they can take in life besides hoops, gansta rap and dealing no matter their environment growing up. Maybe dorky is in and cool is out no matter how much the right portrays Obama as some slick character?
