That's what CRM does. The point is the accounting treatment does not make sense. Rules are stretched to accomadate this ONE company whose business model is far from unique. Most companies do not put their backlog on the balance sheet.

The positive aspect for CRM is future sales are on the face of the financial statements instead of in the notes. Lazy people will see them this way.
