COP is BB's baby. Like most large oil companies, COP is priced very reasonably and would be a somewhat conservative component of a portfolio. COP also has one of the highest dividends for domestic oils. Higher dividends are available internationally. Operations do not fully cover both Capex and the dividend, but there is a path forward for them both to be covered. In other words, the dividend looks sustainable.

I like oil companies in general. The Iran boycott and related opening of strategic reserves in July are a catalyst for underlying oil prices. The catalyst could be either direction.
