Elmer, actually it is a 'TENS' Unit. I don't necessarily recommend this particular unit and just picked it off of Amazon to provide a reference as to what it is. Once you understand the concept you can look for one that suits you best. Prices have dropped radically in the last year. Some of them actually come with a foot pad unit. Its like a flip-flop slipper but with electrodes in different places.

I use them at low levels for extended times (30-60 minutes) and find that they can relax tissues that have chronic tightness.

Great story about your neuroma. Those things are very difficult to deal with. I've had friends plagued by them for years. I'm glad to hear that you are getting some relief. Goes to show that it's rarely a one size fits all situation.
