Where we're you when Bush fought two wars on a credit card. There were many of us who said no Iraq war by borrowing money. There is no AQ in Iraq. But the military industrial complex didn't listen. They well hell bent on taking money from money from our children and just blowing it uu in smoke with nothing to show that they could use. Here, we can give them a booming economy in return And not to be outdone, Bush proceeded to give tax breaks during time of war. History tells us that a main factor that Winston Churchill's Great Britain could withstand the onslaught of Hitler's Germany was because Churchill raised taxes to fund Britain's war against Germany. And what did George do? And you need to stop the liberal/conservative nonsense here. You can state and defend your views with the nonsense hurling of such terms. We have several folks with views that are in the minority on this thread. But if you notice they do not use those phrases. That makes it a shouting match and drowns any modicum of a civilized exchange.

In fact, we would have no problem turning our budget deficits into surpluses if we reduced our defense budget to a size appropriate to the size of the nation. Truth is Clinton already has shown us that that's possible. Your R pols know it...........they refuse to cooperate because their corp masters would object mightily. The major problem facing this country is the Republican party. Until they change, we will be moving from one crisis to the next. Its a given. And you all could end up destroying the goose that lays the golden egg.........that's how far off track you all are.
