That's part of trying to get a handle on the actual land area that this structure covers. It's a big license, and 10% is still a chunk of real estate; but does the handing back of 90% mean that even though Chikuduk may be this major find, aipn will at best only have a percentage in this structure after all the chips fall?

What is aipn waiting for? I assume sufficient cash to make more than a token attempt at exploration. Let's throw the "big picture" back at em with this:

A 30-60 million exploratory JV would allow Chikuduk to be drilled. If it is as big as speculated then aipn's stock could easily hit three digits. Why not take this gamble as you put it and find out asap. If it turns out to be dry there are always the better explored areas available for an orderly retreat.

I think that there is oil somewhere in the concession to make it all worthwhile. It's the degree that is the big question for me. If your land holds a gold mine that's great. But if there are also diamonds somewhere the decision on which to sell to raise cash is a no brainer.
