6/15/12 Contest Update The market climbed another wall of worry this week, but with two down days it didn’t make much progress. At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 18.52% YTD (vs. up 17.31% YTD a week ago). In comparison, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 19.78% YTD (vs. up 18.33% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 10.27% YTD (vs. up 9.72% YTD a week ago). DONS’ portfolio, up 49.27% YTD, held on to the Contest lead, with second place BIOJIM’s portfolio, up 45.57% YTD, closing the gap a bit. CHRIS08’s portfolio, up 44.55% YTD, had a stellar week and took over third place. At Friday's close, 5 of the 38 Contest portfolios were in the red and 18 of the 38 portfolios were beating the NBI. Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks ranked by % Gained and % Lost for the week.
