Since WSTL is going to be selling DSPs, it's worthwhile (IMO) knowing a bit about FPGAs:

SteveG: It's no secret that the RBOC's want to provide the ADSL gear. Westell followers need to watch Bell Atlantic, GTE and BT which have ~100million lines. UUNET will provide IDSL service to 117 cities by mid-98. Bell Atlantic will deploy in mid-98, GTE will start in 1Q98 pending regulatory approval. It's my understanding that BA has done the upfront work on tariffing. I remember GS stating that in the CC before the BA announcement.... until later.
