Correct on all counts.

And it doesn't matter if it's alcohol or any other drug. When the users convince themselves that substance doesn't affect their physiological and mental facilities ... and they can drive better than 'sober' folks ... or they're less dangerous than Joe "X" who is intoxicated with "XYZ" ... well, that's nothing but just plain dumb.

The substance clouding their minds affects their judgement. They drive, then, and say they're better for being intoxicated.

Saw that crap for 19 years ... tired of hearing it.

That's the line of 'reasoning' that kills people every day.
