In doing some research, one interesting and disturbing fact came across my screen.

Is it true that Ancor is only 2.3% owned by institutions? If that is the case, they need to market the stock better or try to start getting some coverage. To get the stock price up, they not only need to increase sales and net income, but start having some institutions buy the stock. It is the domino effect. Once one or two start to get it they will drive up the price and help get the company more coverage.

Craig,

I took a reading of the Unofficial Ancor Page counter on 10/26 when the Fibre Channel Future thread was inaugurated, and it was at 1198. Can't get a response from Geocities today for a current count for some reason.

I don't know if the FC thread has had anything to do with the humongous increase (+10,000?) in hits on the Ancor page for the last 30 days. If your host server supports cgi, I have a cgi "scriptlet" that logs every visitor (no summaries), if you are interested in seeing where the hits are coming from. Perhaps Geocities offers some similar program to siteholders?

In any case, I believe the counter may be a harbinger of increased interest in the FC industry (and ANCR in particular?), and may serve as another index? Weekly or monthly counts may prove interesting over the coming quarters.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Douglas
