No... and this is a key distinction. Romneycare is a state program. States have the power to impose an individual mandate. Obamacare is a federal program. The Fed Gov does not have that power. (my opinion) This is an important part of our federalist system. Rights not specifically granted to the federal government are retained by the states. Now, whether the federal government actually does have the power to force individuals to enter into contracts with an unspecified 3rd party for a bundle of unspecified services for an unspecified price is something we will learn next week.
