The fact that DntWstMyTm turns out to be Elgindy ain't a biggie as far
as I'm concerned. My relationship with him is the same relationship I
have with all of you (confined to trading posts and a couple of e-mails and that's about it).

Before you get all lathered up about me exchanging e-mails with Elgindy they were limited to me trying to verify whether or not what he had been saying about Race/Cygnet/WS Clearing on the AOL boards was true. He didn't tell me jack-squat. Limited to "you'll see" and "just wait". About as much value to me as Vick's "good til 5" crap.

As a market maker it appears that KEYZ may have been in a position
to know what was going down at Cygnet/WS Clearing. Just as any of
the other market makers in RACE's stock were. Many of you have
contacts at market making firms, they probably were in a position to
know what was going on too. I have no way of knowing this but my
guess (Sorry Willie) is that one of the other brokerage firms (I think
there were a dozen or so) that got temporarily shut down when WS
Clearing hit the wall knew or found out the details as to what had
happened (e.g. the kiting of RACE's stock). They may have talked to
Elgindy. I don't know. I don't think I'll ever know. I don't really care either since I shorted RACE before Cygnet hit the wall because of the discounted convert and because I didn't think BT sales would meet
expectations. That's it. The question I've never gotten an answer to is did KEYZ do anything illegal by trading on their knowledge of what
had happened at Cygnet? I don't think it falls under the definition of
insider trading.
