Hi Kirk,

Most of the kids in my class (an over 90% poverty level Chicago Public School) have some kind of virtual pet although I've seen more clones than Tamagotchis. This is mostly due to the fact until recently there were no Tamagotchis in Chicago to be bought. Shop owners have said they sell out as fast as they come in but they seldom come in. I have seen Tamagotchi character beanbag babies around which my daughter thought were cute and I did too. I've seen Tamagotchi board games too. But not too many Tamagotchis. Personally I think Bandai should have been able to find a way to ramp up production a lot faster than they have.

Regards,
Dennis
