This company is known for its Nintendo games, Power Rangers, and other toys. Recently it has had less than impressive performance and some people wonder if it was a one-hit wonder. Also, in January it announced it was merging with Sega (another has-been?) to better compete with other console game manufacturers (e.g. Sony and Nintendo). I had completely ignored this company until I read a news story on the Nando Times web site about a new craze in Japan called tamagotchi. This is a new toy craze which is currently sweeping Japan and which will hit our shores some time this summer. Will it be as big a craze here? Will Bandai see its former glory? Will its ADR, BNDCY, rise to amazing heights from its current 4 1/4? It could be an interesting ride.
