The Retina MBP with all I want would cost me over $4k.

Let's reflect for a nanosecond...

Would you pay that? Do I seem stupid to you? Rhetorical question.

NO! For a fraction of that I can painlessy build a KILLER hackintosh laptop, with all the ports and chit I need missing on the latest MBP, which will run circles around that hobbled MBP, Mountain Lion and all!

Sad.

Glad I bought my cheap, refurb 13" MBP before this chit storm came down! Hope it last me five years like the original one did!

The MacBook Air was too expensive when it was introduced, and it's been a smash hit.

That first MBA was worth its weight in (marketing) gold.

Brilliant big of engineering.
