Yawn - looks like a co2 deficit - if we are looking at averages it appears we are headed only one direction.
I plan to burn a lot of gas next week to help avert the next ice age - thank me later.

calculate to the warmest year-to-date and 12-month periods since recordkeeping began in 1895.
As said records have only been kept sinc 1895. Not so hard to break records over such a short span, let alone the third warmest. Also record highs are not an average, and not global. This is weather, not climate.
