I always figured finding something valuable in Mexico or S. America might mean certain death. The best thing would be a small high grade placer deposit you could mine on site and then get the hell out of town. The best example of trying to do business in Mexico is getting pulled over for not speeding by angry cop who is going to remove your licence plate and finally paying him off with a propina and Mexican colleague shrugs it off saying the cop has to eat to.
