Re: Samsung Cap Ex plans--While the overall company is planning to cut cap ex 30% in 1998, semi equip cap ex will be unchanged versus 1997 according to this story:

I am thankful that the panic sell-off in semiconductor equipment stocks has not bankrupt me because I was fortunate enough to buy them during the 1996 panic when they were selling for the per share equivalent of net working capital.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and may you have the cash to take advantage of the current panic,

David

Teradyne tagged 31.75 this afternoon, down near 4 points from yesterdays close. Indicators quickly responded positive. It's not very often a stock hits a new low & immediately recovers during a Dow down cycle however not all shareholders are watching there stocks today so a Friday decline is possible. Looking from the trading standpoint a possible bottom may have been reached but I'm not familiar enought with the stock so I can only speculate.

Is it possible todays news leaked out a few weeks ago when the price was 46.5. Can anyone point out any other explanation for the decline since 11/5?
