One of the initial points of contention was a brokerage service that allowed opening an account WITHOUT a minimum initial deposit. 2K$ may be little, in and of itself, but, to have that available in cash- not securiities- will be a burden for some of us. At least for me.
I think we should continue to search for a broker that offers a non-minimum start-up, or negotiate for this point.
