Frankly, ML, I'm much more puzzled by why the Romney folk didn't vet all this Bain stuff a long time ago. It looks fairly obvious, most of it not hidden at all. Why didn't they use some of those piles of money to hire the best oppo research artists in the business. Ask them to go after the Romney campaign with everything they have. Then take the results and plug up the holes. The amateurish responses they now have suggest they either didn't do it or the firms that did it were incompetent or the Romney campaign is just dumb enough not to take their advice.
