There is too much in-fighting, name calling and other sorted practices. >> There are also quantifiable realities in all that chaotic yelling and shouting. One can take the votes and apply them to statistical analysis. The results are quit revealing and disturbing: Who voted for and against the 1964 civil rights act? The New Deal, the equal rights amendment for women. Who votes for the middle class and poor the most and worries about income inequality? Why is it that 51% of scientists call themselves liberal and 80% are dems and only 6% Republican? That last statistic is very powerful if one thinks about it. Who believes in evolution, global warming, gay marriage, unions, pro choice, universal health care, the environment and affordable public education to PHD? Look at the votes and it is as clear as a bell. 20% of the population is liberal and only 5% very liberal. I would bet a statistical analysis of the very liberal versus liberal would be quite significant and revealing. And with the rest of the population, eye popping. It is important, IMO, to recognize the cultures of the entire world are just now coming out of comprehensive primitive deep freeze dogma and into a world of self actualization and individual freedom. Egypt just had its first democrat election since the beginning of the history of modern man. Until just recently it was common practise for a women in the middle east who was raped, was then killed by her father and brothers for dishonoring them! And girls at seven were mutiliated by one woman and held down by their mothers.
