Hi Nik. The U.S. planted a record amount of corn this year. It was expected that we would have a record crop but now estimates call for the lowest amount of corn in five years, down just 7% from the initial projection.

I think that the corn play has been overdone and profit taking should kick in. Anyway, this is not a long term play. Just my opinion, of course.

Take a look at the chart for CORN. Then take a look at the chart for JO (coffee) and BAL (cotton). Trends change very quickly for commodities. Remember one of your recent stock picks cited higher cotton prices impacting negatively on their bottom line? I think that was in their last q, but look at cotton prices now, reduced by about half.
