OMG!! $6.5K for less than a month? Should have just bought a used vehicle for that money and sold it when you left.. or stored it for your next trip..

Speaking of which, I really detest how US rental car companies are charging an arm and a leg for "one way" rentals.. As I recall, it used to be that one could rent a car, drive it to another state, leave it there, and only be assessed a minimal fee.. Nowadays it's more than the actual plane ticket..

Btw.. you should come to Idaho someday if you want to see deer and wildlife.. The entire middle part of the state (around the salmon river) is complete wilderness with no vehicular traffic permitted. Just hiking and horseback.

Compare 250 euro General grocery for 10 folks over perhaps 5 days (5 days of breakfast, 3 days of lunches, 3 days of dinner, all simple)

Look at a shop for a jacket that costs 250 Euros and compare.

CONCLUSION: Price of food has lots of room to go up.
Or price of piece of clothes has a lot of room to go down.

You said: (250) which is fair per hong kong expectation, but hong kong is on the expensive side.

HK price on the upper side is more realist than Europe.
