When we speak of our ancient ancestors as being only "dimly aware" lets not fool ourselves for one minute for all the glitz of Vegas & Macau that we have come all that far .Rather than get too philosophical into the idealism , think its really more appropriate time to to take the gloves off and start with what we are knowing about these boxes we have a hard time thinking ourselves out of and trapped inside of . One can see something in the efforts of religion in its basic expression to seek some unity as seperate entities into a greater whole and to bestow some orders of value and direction for human action , unfortunately the efforts are hopelessly lost in language that is far to ancient to adapt readily to today's current milieu & mythologies . Of one thing am absolutely certain now after witnessing the behaviors on this thread , that the current directions of Science in explaining consciousness & the biology of human cognizance should be given the highest priority now , with religion absolutely being challenged & integrated into .
