Increased sun activity also effects the behavior of moisture in the earth's atmosphere, sun activity has a direct effect of the formation of clouds, including rain clouds... the more sun activity, the more difficult it is for moisture to gather in the atmosphere and to form a cloud...

Therefore, with the current increased sun activity, it's more difficult for rain clouds to form... this explains why we have a drought right now in the grain States, the worst in 50 years... based on this reasoning, we can expect to see further drought into the end of 2013 when the sun activity is expected to subside...
