You really do not understasnd what is going on. I agree about government, but who is controlling government?? It isn't the poor or even the middle class, it is the rich. The rich and powerful control the fed!!! During 08 the fed gave the rich and powerul trillions and main street very little. Starting in 1980 the rich and powerful using lee Atwaters southern strategy fooled the conservative working person into thinking they were on their side by playing to their cultural values like gay bashing, guns and god. Their objective was to take as much control as possible to make as much money as possible. The first thing they neeeded to do was destroy the unions so they could hire cheap labor; and get the working man to go along with their plan! They have. Unions have gone from 36% in 1980 to about 6% today. The rich and powerful hate unions more than anything and always try to destroy them; and have always taken advantage of the masses. Tell me when in all of history the rich and powerful have treated the masses well? There are about 17 billionaires who are working together and providing over 50% of all the super pack money. They are not giving that money to make a better society, they are giving it to buy influence. It is like the southern sharecropper helping plantation owners defend owning slaves they had to compete against. Made no sense. <<The federal government we have is intent on usurping every bit of power constitutionally the province of state and local governments. If Bachmann, Palin and the Tea Party "crazies" (another label) can stop it from further micromanaging our lives I'm all for it. "Rich & powerful"? The Feds could bring down anyone you chose to name if they wanted, given the labyrinth of thousand-page laws & regulations that are more and more difficult to comply with. And I agree with Top Cat about voter ID.
