Hi Unoo,

I was surprised and dismayed at the drop from $33. If I had known this was going to happen I would have liquidated. Wouldn't you have? But, we never know, do we? We just buy into growing, profitable, companies with what we think are bright futures. I think Genrad fits that description.

I havn't seen any press releases or any other news from them for quite some time, so I couldn't say why the stock price has been weak. Maybe it is the simple lack of news that is to blame. No new buyers are being attracted to the company.

Those May 35 calls should be cheap enough now that you could buy them back for next to nothing and then not have to worry about having your shares taken away from you during a run to new highs. May is still far enough away that you can't be sure that the options will expire worthless. On the other hand, there is nothing in the recent price action to make me think a run to new highs is imminent.

Good luck,
Marantz
