Liberals truly care about the poor and racism, sexism and gay bashing. They care! They say they care because it makes them feel like compassionate heroes without actually doing anything. But they don't really care. If they cared about the poor, they'd support school vouchers so poor kids stuck in failing schools could have a chance, at least, of getting a decent education - instead they support the unions. If they cared about sexism and gay bashing, they'd deplore the threat of sharia in our country - instead they poo-poo it as no threat. Have you ever seen a liberal on SI post about honor killings in our own country? Or about the hanging of gays in Iran? It's never happened.

We silence racists. You made a KKK leader your Senate Majority Leader and when he died in office, you had the first black President praise him as an "elder statesman". You made Jimmy Carter, who started in politics as a segregationist school board member, your President. Hell, the revered FDR, whose housing programs INVENTED racial redlining, picked KKK members as his Vice President and put one on the Supreme Court. The great liberal, Woodrow Wilson, celebrated the Ku Klux Klan and segregated the armed forces and government jobs.

" If you truly cared about the poor, you would support a voucher system so that poor kids could get access to better schools instead of the cesspools they call schools in most inner cities. As for Racism, I guess things have changed since the progressives of the early to mid 40's supported eugenics to suppress the black population. Opposition to Gay Marriage is not the equivelent of gay bashing. I would think that a supposedly well educated person as you claim to be would be embarrased to argue that careing is an argument for anything. KKK members care, people who support stronger military care, those who support less govt spending and intrusion into our lives care. Are you really so foolish that you think liberals are unique in caring or that the fact that you care matters to people who care differently than you. Are you sure you went to college. Let us know where so we can avoid those schools. lj
