I've been wondering about this since Jack King complained about the Y2K market being "late." CIOs are not stupid or blind. That they would choose to replace rather than fix is the only conclusion that makes any sense to me, but I haven't seen any statistics that would confirm. Have you?

As far as buying opportunities, I've haven't really come up with any ideas. This trend would help Compaq and Peoplesoft keep growing, but they're not looking particularly "cheap" right now. Is there any "cheap" client-server company right now?

I wonder if Roger knows of one? <g>
