Ignoring your convoluted, run on sentences with multiple double negatives and conditional CYA escapes that are totally unreadable, the bottom line is that government does a lot of GREAT things. That we all celebrate. Including things in medicicine/health care. Government, all of us together collectively, fund things that we wouldn't do otherwise, because it doesn't make economic sense on the front end.

Most of this is given, free or at little cost, to the private sector, which is exceptionally good at commercializing it. Which benefits all of us. A great thing.

It's a good system. We've done extremely well. Richest country in the world. Landed a freaking truck on Mars, for Gods sake! Hate the US government as you folks do? Tell me what company is gonna land a truck on Mars?

Collectively funding things that benefit us all, including medical research, is a wonderful thing. That's a fact.
