Louis, the insider buying of QUST is of the preferred (i.e., of QUSTP).

I was rather thinking/hoping that at these prices it would boost the price of the preferred. One of the QUST threaders, Markox, responded to my questions about the preferred and common here:

...where he basically says that the relationship of the two has been under discussion (debate) on the QUST thread. The only post I've had a chance to read, however, was the one which said that when both were similarly priced in the past, it was an opprotunity to buy the preferred.

I think it interesting that if you make the comparisons, there are about 1.5M shares of common and 1.0M of preferred -- which will convert to common in 3/99. That is, in some sense, there is nearly as much ownership in the preferred as in the common. I'm not that well-versed in such things, but doesn't this seem an unusually high ratio of preferred: common? I tried reading the link Carole provided, but it is pretty dense (or maybe I am :-().

Further comments (and a warm welcome to the QUST thread) are given by Christopher Brainard:

he makes the following comment:

The 377 day CCI is above +100 which suggests that QUST is also a candidate for continuation into the intermediateterm time frame although I would remain cautious considering the magnitude of advance over the previous year.

(who is now working on moving a month's worth of stuff from one notebook to another, as the mfr is replacing my notebook. I've gotten pretty settled in...so it's a challenge...especially since what doesn't work is PCMCIA slots--no network transfers :-(.)
