No, I do not know that. Although that may be true for drug addicts, it is certainly not true for law-abiding citizens who cooperate with police officers during encounters, as required under the law.

If a man has a beef with the police, he is best advised not to use an encounter as a forum to provoke them. You obviously have a beef with the police, Gersh, but you should remember that the law is on their side. The best course of action is to respectfully cooperate and comply, and then when you're free again, contact your attorney to explore your options for redress if you believe that you were wronged. The last thing anyone should do is get into an argument with a cop. That's a pretty stupid, senseless, and dangerous thing to do. Sometimes, it proves fatal.
