I see.

re: CPQ's buy out: before cpq bought out Tandem, Tandem sold their UB network to NN, now DEC sold out their network division, so it fits?
cpq is pursuing open system, so I would think they will buy Ariel (ADSP) out and combine their NT based RAS with the strength of cpq NT server. I do not think they are going to buy any non NT based networker, that is just not their strength.

<<the only way this stock will ever see 50 is if they get bought out>>

Ever! Come on. For someone who never holds a stock over night what makes you an authority on the mid - long term share price appreciation potential of ASND. As a day trader I'm sure you don't waste time analyzing anything but short-term trading patterns.

At a 35% growth rate (per First Call), '98 earnings per share would be $1.43, '99 $1.93. To trade at $50, the PE would have to be 26.

IMO, this is very "doable". A return to $50 during 1998 is extremely likely without a buyout.

>>I own 300 at 37 and 2K at 27 so 30 is my # to get out, the only way this stock will ever see 50 is
if they get bought out and I don't think that will happen.<<

Tim, like I said before. If ASND starts doing the 5 points up and
holding 3 up and hold etc again then you will change your mind.
Especially if it does it at or near 30. It might drag up to that
level and then get the okay to buy from the smart money. Look out.
I think they know it is a deal right now but are uncertain about
the way the street will react until there are signs of upswing
consistancy.
