I use the simple dictionary definition of liberal which I consider the most correct explanation for what we are. We are evolving as a species and a culture to what we do not know? But liberals try to take the best of it, like freedom of bigotry and deal with the worst of it like global warming, pollution and over population. As far as libertarianism goes, that is what the tribes did to people in the olden days when they were bad i.e. banished them to the wilds to live without society to protect them. They usually didn't last long without the tribe.
