Great post, we need to spread the word.

How the GOP Can Accomplish 98% of their Corporatist Agenda

Let's assume right now that all the Republican lies work. And let's assume that the billions of dollars spent by the likes of the Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson, and Karl Rove work.

John, the only real winners are the 1% and the bankers. They have utterly rigged the game. So no, not a different set of winners and losers. There's always one set of winners. The rest of us are the losers in the grand scheme of things. However, some of us, in the upper middle class, say the 98th percentile, can run fast enough to get ahead despite the playing-field stacked against us. That's my situation. I make enough to save enough and I have enough that the earnings on my savings grows faster now than I can incrementally save. Of course, I'm older now and I've worked hard to get here with very few advantages handed to me. So I'm fortunate that I can run faster than inflation and the seemingly never ending crises can ding my portfolio. But most other people are not so fortunate.
