Merril Lynch seems to think highly of it. They came out and stated (paraphrased) that it should be a "core" tech holding.

This reply pertains to Oracle and how it is perceivied. It is my guess that it is a major player in 2K problem, but it is not discussed as one of the providers. I suggest many customers will opt to take a new data base(ORACLE), in preference to the risks, and timing constraints of solving the problem with coding COBAL, or other old code.
What is your opinion of this senario?
