Don,

Re "Over 50% of my portfolio is in the Semi Eppt sector"

My heart and logic wants to say that, in time, You'll do very well.

I assume that your portfolio is large enough to support more diversity. It seems to be from the number of holdings.

My guess is that most people would sleep better at night from the benefits of that diversity.

Clearly, the "technology" related equipment sales will generate substantial business for "our" companies. The supercharged performance will come when "capacity" related sales are needed to fill up all the new fabs that are being built. Hopefully, we'll see that in 98 or 99.

Ian.

I too am heavily into semiequips and have been since early 1996. I sleep very well at night and have little doubt that this investment will greatly outperform the DOW 30. Does anyone think that the DOW will hit 16000 before the SOX hits 600? In other words, the semi market cap will easily double before the general market. I love listening to the fools who think that Disney at 34 times earnings is a better investment that AMAT or BRKS or KLIC or PRIA. Conglomerates can at best grow 15-20 percent a year, but semis will greatly outpace that.
