So:

You agree with me that other chips run at 3.2 or more volts and aren't prone to overheating (the original argument).

You agree with me that AMD is producing the 233mhz K6 in more than sample quantities (irregardless of whether AMD can build enough to satisfy heavy demand for this excellent chip).

See? No more misinformation.

Re: "I would like to point out that your statement that AMD was 2 speedgrades behind Intel because they (AMD) have to test to rigorous standards and the slot1 allows for better heat distribution, is tantamount to saying that Intel is 2 speed grades ahead of AMD because they (Intel) don't have to test to the same standards."

Keep in mind, I was just speculating as to the advantages of Slot 1. I think I made that reasonably clear. I'd actually like to hear from some of the more technically minded people if my working theory is correct--specifically, that one reason Intel can clock its chips faster is that Slot 1 is a superior device for dissipating heat. If I'm convinced by people who know what they're talking about that it isn't, I'll happily change my opinion.
