An interesting dimension to the demographic time bomb issue - a purple creep by minorities: The obvious followup point is the demographics of the two conventions. The TV cameras couldn't help but note the great diversity of the Dems convention; as opposed to the absence of such at the Reps. And with the takeover of the Reps by the Tea Party and the big business types, they've nullified the influence of the few who pushed for more diversity in the party. I can't help but feel we are watching the very slow, Chinese torture destruction of a once great US political party. Those state level laws to limit ballot access just seem to me to be works of desperation.
