Hello bart13, I have looked briefly into the several heated (arguments? debates? ... Whatever, or unpleasantness) progress on the thread. I have a problem that does not have to be a problem, that as default thread moderator I may be looked to as adjudicator, a role I neither asked for nor wanted, but was left to me by elmat. I had stated in the 'original' post that I choose to ban nobody and encourage the use of the ignore function, and so far the only one banned from this thread is a nobody and no one else. I have also stated that at times I may, for any reason reasonable or otherwise, ban somebody and by surmise, everybody including myself. As I have seen and experienced arbitrary power, I neither favor its use nor champion any systemic schema that give rise to arbitrary power, whether by one single man the only vote or universal suffrage debased majority tyranny over minority 'tyrannied' My distaste for this n that form of organized governance does not prevent me to see the need for some form of governance, even as I know that any n all forms of rule can and do get degraded to serve the few and fewer. So, in any case, please understand that (i) I do monitor, and (ii) do deliberate, but (iii) do not lightly intervene by deciding for all (ban) especially when all must first decide for themselves (ignore). I would be interested to hear from you and all re above, even as I am sure you understand where I am coming from and how I prefer to be stance-d. Perhaps Mq also understands where I am coming from and how i am stance-d.
